Bamboozle Advanced Backup is a fully managed backup service powered by Acronis — an enterprise-grade platform covering physical servers, virtual machines, cloud workloads, endpoints, and SaaS applications. It protects your data with automated scheduling, encryption, and fast recovery options, all managed from a single dashboard.
What can be backed up?
Advanced Backup protects a wide range of environments including:

Where is backup data stored?
Backup data is stored in Bamboozle's secure cloud storage across our UAE and Austrian datacentres. Storage is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS. You can choose a primary storage region and configure replication to a secondary site for geo-redundancy.
How is backup storage priced?
Backup storage is billed at $0.179/GB/month — this covers the Acronis managed platform, encryption, and storage infrastructure. There are no additional per-seat or per-workload licence fees for the backup service itself.
How quickly can data be restored?
Recovery time depends on the restore method selected:

• File-level restore — individual files or folders, typically minutes
• Full image restore — complete server or VM restore to bare metal or cloud
• Instant restore — boot a VM directly from the backup image while the full restore runs in the background

Is the backup service monitored?
Yes. Our team monitors all backup jobs 24/7. Failed or missed backups trigger automated alerts and our engineers investigate proactively — you don't need to check a dashboard every morning. Monthly backup health reports are available on request.
Does Advanced Backup include anti-ransomware protection?
Yes. The Acronis platform includes AI-based anti-ransomware protection that detects and blocks ransomware activity in real time — and can automatically restore any files that were affected before the threat was stopped. This is included as part of the Advanced Backup service.
Can I use Advanced Backup alongside Disaster Recovery?
Yes — and we recommend it. Advanced Backup handles your regular data protection and recovery needs, while Disaster Recovery (powered by Coriolis) handles full workload failover between sites. The two services complement each other and can be managed together through your Bamboozle account.
How does Continuous Data Protection differ from scheduled backup?
Scheduled backup takes a snapshot at defined intervals — typically hourly or daily. CDP captures every write operation in real time for listed applications, so your recovery point can be seconds ago rather than hours. CDP and scheduled backup run together — scheduled covers all workloads, CDP covers your most critical apps.
Can I recover individual items from Microsoft 365?
Yes. Bamboozle Cyber Protect Advanced Backup covers Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams. You can recover individual emails, files, or entire mailboxes without a full restore.
Is the backup storage immutable?
Yes. Geo-redundant storage uses immutable, WORM-protected storage — ransomware cannot encrypt or delete your backup copies. Combined with anti-malware scanning on restore, your recovery chain stays clean.
What compliance standards does backup storage meet?
