What It Does

Everything managed by the Bamboozle team — from endpoint configuration to successful boot on Cloud Engine.

  • Lift-and-Shift Migration

    Move VMs from any supported source to Bamboozle Cloud Engine without re-architecting. Disks are copied, converted to the target format, and booted — preserving all data and configuration.

  • Automated OS Morphing

    Coriolis automatically installs the right drivers for the target hypervisor — VirtIO for KVM, cloud-init for OpenStack initialisation, network configuration. Windows and Linux both handled.

  • Migrate Powered-On VMs

    VMs do not need to be shut down before migration begins. Coriolis syncs storage while the VM is running — minimising the cutover window to just the final sync delta.

  • No Guest Agent or Credentials

    Coriolis requires no agent on the guest OS and no guest credentials. It uses only the source cloud API — vCenter, AWS, Azure, or OpenStack — to access disk data.

  • Full Migration Tracking

    Every migration is tracked end-to-end — disk copy progress, OS morphing steps, network configuration, and final boot status. Full audit trail for compliance and reporting.

  • Cross-Platform & Cross-Region

    Migrate to any Bamboozle Cloud Engine region — DX1 Dubai, FJ1 Fujairah, or VIE2 Vienna. Choose the destination based on latency, data residency, or compliance requirements.

The Process

How It Works

Managed end-to-end by the Bamboozle team. You define what to move — we handle the rest.

  1. Define Endpoints

    Connect your source platform as a Coriolis endpoint. Add Bamboozle Cloud Engine as the destination. Network mapping and flavor selection configured once.

  2. Select VMs to Migrate

    Browse and select VMs directly from your source platform. Coriolis reads specs, disk layout, and network config — no manual inventory spreadsheets.

  3. Initial Sync

    Coriolis copies VM storage to Bamboozle Cloud Engine. The source VM stays running throughout. Large disks are copied in parallel for speed.

  4. OS Morphing

    Coriolis applies OS morphing — installs KVM drivers, configures cloud-init, sets up network interfaces for the target environment. Fully automated.

  5. Cutover & Boot

    At cutover time, the final delta sync runs, the source VM is (optionally) shut down, and the migrated VM boots on Bamboozle. Migration complete.
