    Exchange Online mailboxes including archives, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online sites and libraries, Teams chats, channels and files. One policy covers the tenant; new users are picked up automatically.

  • Search and Restore Single Items

    Find one email, one file version or one Teams conversation and restore it in place or to another account. Nobody should have to roll back a mailbox to recover an attachment.

  • Outside the Blast Radius

    Backups live outside the Microsoft 365 tenant, so a compromised global admin account cannot delete them. Immutable storage options prevent modification for the retention period.

    Choose which workloads to protect, how often, and how long to keep them. New users and new sites are enrolled automatically as they appear, so coverage does not drift.

  3. Automatic Backups

    Backups run several times a day and are encrypted before leaving the tenant. Only changes are transferred after the first pass, so ongoing runs are quick and quiet.

  4. Restore What You Need

    Search across the backup, preview an item, and restore in place, to a different user, or as a download. Full mailbox and full site restores are available when the situation calls for them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Microsoft not already back up Microsoft 365?
Not in the sense you need. Microsoft operates a shared responsibility model: they guarantee availability of the service and protect against their own infrastructure failures. Protecting your data against accidental deletion, ransomware, malicious insiders, retention gaps and offboarding is explicitly the customer's responsibility. Their own service agreement recommends third-party backup.
Is the Microsoft recycle bin not enough?
It is a safety net measured in days, not a backup. Deleted items pass through a first and second stage bin and are then gone; retention policies can be changed or disabled by anyone with admin rights; and a compromised admin account can empty everything deliberately. None of that applies to a copy held outside the tenant.
How often does it back up?
Several times a day by default, which puts the worst-case loss at a few hours. Frequency is configurable where a workload needs tighter protection.
Where is the backup stored?
In Bamboozle infrastructure — Dubai DX1 or Fujairah FJ1 for UAE data residency, or Vienna VIE2 for EU and GDPR. You choose at setup, and the data is encrypted with AES-256 in transit and at rest.
Can we restore a single email or file?
Yes — granular restore is the normal case rather than the exception. Search the backup, find the item, and restore it in place, to a different account, or as a download. Full mailbox and site restores exist for the rare cases that need them.
What happens when someone leaves the company?
Back up the mailbox before removing the licence and the data stays available and searchable afterwards. This is how most organisations avoid paying for licences that exist purely to keep a leaver's mailbox reachable.
Does it protect against ransomware in OneDrive?
Yes, and this is the failure people underestimate. Ransomware encrypting a synced folder replicates the encrypted files straight into OneDrive, which is working exactly as designed. An independent backup with point-in-time recovery restores the state from before the encryption.
How does this differ from SaaS Security?
Backup is recovery after the fact; SaaS Security is real-time scanning that stops malicious content inside Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive before it spreads. They address different halves of the same risk and most customers run both.
