Bamboozle Email Archiving and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) is a managed service that captures, indexes, and securely retains all inbound and outbound email — and prevents sensitive data from leaving your organisation by policy. It's essential for regulatory compliance, legal hold, eDiscovery, and protecting confidential information.
Which email platforms are supported?
The service supports Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online), Google Workspace (Gmail), and on-premise Microsoft Exchange. Hybrid environments are also supported. Setup is non-disruptive — email flow continues without interruption during onboarding.
How long is email retained?
Retention periods are configurable per your compliance requirements. Common configurations are 7 years for financial services (meeting DFSA and SEC requirements) and 3–5 years for general business. Custom retention policies can be applied by sender, recipient, domain, or content classification.
What does Data Loss Prevention (DLP) cover?
DLP policies inspect outbound email content and attachments for sensitive data patterns including:

How long can emails be retained?
Retention is fully configurable — from 1 year to indefinitely. Multiple policies can coexist: for example, standard email retained for 7 years with legal hold items retained indefinitely.
Who can access the archive?
Access is role-based. Administrators set who can search the full archive, who can manage legal holds, and which users can access their own archived email. All access is logged.
How does DLP work for email?
Behavioural DLP analyses outgoing email content and attachments for predefined sensitive data patterns — credit card numbers, national ID formats, health data keywords, and custom patterns. Matching email can be blocked, quarantined, or flagged for review.
Does archiving cover Teams messages?
