Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on bamboozle.me, what each one does, and how long it lasts. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
What a Cookie Is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. We also use two related browser features — session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab, and local storage, which persists until it is deleted. Where we use those instead of a cookie, this policy says so.
Your Choices
Essential cookies are required for the website to work and cannot be switched off. Everything else is set only if you accept it, and there are two separate choices:
- Analytics — counting visits, in aggregate.
- Marketing — remembering how you found us, which is attached to your enquiry if you send one. It is kept separate from analytics because it is tied to you rather than counted anonymously, and it is never switched on by default.
You are asked when you first visit, and you can change your answer at any time — including right here:
If you decline, or accept and later withdraw, the non-essential cookies described below are not set, and any that already exist are deleted. The button needs JavaScript; if it does nothing, your browser's own cookie settings will also clear them, and the section at the end of this page explains how.
We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share what we collect with advertising networks.

Session and Local Storage
Two entries belong to the same feature as bam_j and follow the same consent:
bam_j_s— session storage. Holds the current visit only, and your browser discards it when you close the tab. This one is used whether or not you consent, because it never leaves your browser unless you send us a form or start a chat.bam_j_pages— local storage. The pages you have viewed, kept only if you accepted marketing cookies, and removed if you withdraw.
Analytics Without Cookies
Most of our website analytics is handled by a self-hosted installation of Plausible, which sets no cookies at all and does not track people across websites. It is mentioned here because people reasonably expect an analytics tool to appear in a cookie policy, and this one has nothing to list.
Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Separately from our banner, every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block them in future. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of this website working — the cookie banner, for one, will ask you again on every visit, because the record of your answer is itself a cookie.

We update this page when the cookies we use change. The date above is when it was last reviewed.
